Dr. Julia Naber

Associate Research Animal Veterinarian at University of Wisconsin Madison

Hi! I’m Dr. Julia Naber. I am a lab animal veterinarian with RARC with the UW-Madison. I have been a lab animal veterinarian for 3 years. I started my veterinarian career as a mixed animal veterinarian in central Wisconsin. After a few years I transitioned to being a small animal veterinarian. When COVID started I decided I needed a change and got into lab animal medicine. I serve on two IACUCs for the university and oversee 7 facilities on campus. I have a passion for advancing medicine and science while also advocating for the best of animal welfare.

I have a plethora of pets at home including three cats, a dog, two tortoises and a couple of chickens. I am also the proud parent of three boys.
