Dr Shiu is a medical oncology specialist, in practice since 2006.  Originally from Birmingham, England, his veterinary training was completed at the historic University of Glasgow, Scotland. His specialist training was completed at Cornell University and UW Madison. He became a board certified specialist in 2010 and started the first private practice oncology service in SW Wisconsin at VCA VESVSC where he has been practicing since.

As Czar’s oncologist, Dr Shiu is proud to have been a founding member of the Czar’s Promise advisory board and is currently serving on the board of directors as well as chair of the scientific advisory board. He additionally serves as Assistant Chair of the Mars Veterinary Health Oncology Advisory Board, and as a member of the Morris Animal Health Foundation Feline scientific advisory board. He has been the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials and is a frequent lecturer at the local, national and international level.
