Czar

The inspiration for Czar’s Promise – Czar – was a loyal, proud, and wise Great Pyrenees, who provided animal assisted therapy as part of the Pet Pals program at American Family Children’s Hospital and other Madison area health care facilities for many years. Everyone he met loved his calm and gentle demeanor and he truly knew how to bring joy, smiles, comfort and peace to children facing cancer and other health related challenges.  At the age of 12 years, Czar passed away from Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and with his passing a promise was made. A promise that embodies the passion and dedication of our committee, to never, ever stop fighting this disease that impacts so many canines and children in our community.
