Beth Viney

Czar’s Promise
Founder, Executive Director, Czar’s Mom

Canines have been a part of Beth’s everyday life since birth, and she encompasses and thrives on the strength and importance of the human/canine bond every moment of the day. Devoting decades of her professional career to the field of technology, her life changed in 2012 when her Great Pyrenees, Czar, was diagnosed with bone cancer. Upon his passing in 2013, she made a promise to Czar to develop ways to help others who traveled the same path as she and Czar, and to help navigate and support their cancer journey.

After joining forces with other compassionate dog loving members and veterinary professionals within the community who shared and understood the same life experience, Czar’s Promise was formed in 2018.  Today, Beth and the Czar’s Promise organization engages daily with families whose canines and felines face a cancer diagnosis, and provides comfort, care, financial resources to improve their pets quality of life and to Inspire Hope. Research is a fundamental focus of Czar’s Promise, and Beth connects with pediatric oncology experts at UW Health Kids – American Family Children’s Hospital, and veterinary oncology professionals at the UW School of Veterinary Madison, with the goal of funding research to find a cure for cancer in our children and companion animals.

Czar taught Beth the lifelong mantra, that “Every Day is a Gift” and sharing tail wags, belly rubs, snackeez, hiking, sunrises, sunsets and seizing every moment with her Newfoundland, Amara and her Great Pyrenees, Lucciano, are the highlight of living.

CZAR'S PROMISE

It began as a love story; the attraction, immediate. In 2001, a small white fluffball with an infectious smile that had me at "hello", came bounding full steam ahead and into my arms; and yes, that was all it took.
